Why choose our Kakadu & Beyond Tours?
Charter North’s Kakadu Tours & Beyond combine all of the Top End’s major attractions. With 25 years experience, professional guides, modern air conditioned 4WDs and quality camping equipment, you will be sure to have an educating, safe & fun experience. Our active programs include plenty of hiking, swimming and wildlife spotting. Whether family or group of friends, our active Top End Tours will immerse you completely in the unique destinations we visit. Kakadu National Park, Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk) and Litchfield National Parks are globally acclaimed destinations. Separately, these destinations present different aspects and experiences. When combined in one continuous tour, they provide a spectacular overview of our tropical environments. With such diverse habitats, from rugged sandstone to sweeping savannas abounding with flora and fauna, you will not only be treated to a spectacular visual display, but a complete immersion into what truly is a tropical paradise.
Charter North 4WD Safaris offer camping as well as fully accommodated tours. Our private tours can be tailored around special interests such as photography and indigenous culture, and can be adjusted to your needs and fitness levels. However, Kakadu and the Top End are raw destinations, and many attractions can only be reached via rocky, sometimes undulating hiking trails.
Our camping tours include comfortable Aussie swags fitted with full linen and dome nets (2.2 x 2.4x H1.8m). While in Kakadu, we are staying in designated park campgrounds, at Katherine Gorge and Litchfield we use private campgrounds. Bush camping can be arranged on some programs if you wish. Accommodation options in Kakadu & Beyond range from cabin style to lodge rooms, we can recommend the best options for your group on request. Our camper trailer option is available on all of our private Kakadu & Beyond Tours and is perfect for families. Being the only tour company that offers this option, it’s a great alternative to camping in tents and swags.
At Charter North, we pride ourselves on providing healthy, tasty tour meals and snacks for the duration of your tour and cook on campfires where possible. We provide freshly brewed coffee with all of our breakfasts. For more information about our catering please click here. We combine off road adventure with passenger comfort through the use of fully air conditioned, modern 4WD vehicles with upgraded suspension.
