Host & Booking Contact
Alina was born in Berlin, Germany, where she spent the first 20 years of her life, and has been living in Darwin since 2011. Alina was lucky to begin travelling with her family at a very young age, experiencing different cultures all over the world from close range. Many summer holidays were spent camping and exploring nature. As part of her studies, Alina spent a semester in Sydney, giving her the opportunity to travel Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia extensively. These experiences fostered Alina’s love for travelling and the tourism industry.
Alina has and continues to play an integral role in the foundation and ongoing development of Charter North 4WD Safaris. Her studies in business and post grad degree in tourism allow her to contribute substantially to the shaping and direction of the company, while her expertise in international marketing allows her to full-fill most of Charter North’s in house online and offline marketing. Alina completed her Master Thesis on the topic of “sustainable tourism development in the Kimberley”, as this topic is very close to her heart.
Alina also enjoys accompanying guests on Charter North 4WD Tours as a host whenever time permits. However, Alina’s main role in the business is in bookings, administration and marketing. Alina will often be your first contact when making a tour enquiry with Charter North.
Professional Tour Guide
Heath spent a lot of his childhood camping in country Victoria, where his love for the Australian bush manifested. After completing a uni degree and living in the big smoke for a few years, he couldn’t resist the call of Australia’s Outback. So he headed North to Darwin in 2009 to become a tour guide. He has spent the last 8 years predominately guiding throughout the top end of the Northern Territory, and also in the Kimberley and Central Australia.
Our Vehicles and trailers
Charter North operate the latest design and technology in off road luxury 4WD tour vehicles. While travelling on some of Australia’s most rugged and remote terrain, you will be comforted by climate control, plush forward facing seats and quiet acoustics, allowing us to converse freely.
Safety and communication won’t be an issue with the latest satellite communications wherever and however we travel. Our vehicles combine with purpose built off road trailers, specifically designed to carry all of our vital supplies and handle the exceptionally tough conditions they endure. As the Kimberley, Kakadu, Arnhem Land and other destinations we travel are quite remote with limited supplies, careful consideration to food storage and management is absolutely essential. Our trailers have approximately 300 litres of cold storage to keep food fresh and drinks cold, along with 100 litres of fresh drinking water, and enough remaining capacity for the carriage of all other gear and luggage.
Our Innovative Trailer Camping Tours
Charter North’s innovative camper trailer product is ideal for those who want to camp under the stars away from the crowds, while enjoying the comfort of “real beds” above ground level. This popular concept allows us to maintain flexibility in our programs, as we can choose from a variety of ‘bush camp’ options. We offer this purpose built off road camper trailer as an affordable alternative to “tent” camping. It has two Queen Beds and one single sleeping booth, with plenty of room for further bedding. Windows throughout provide air flow, allowing you to relax in privacy. With this “mobile Safari Camp”, we provide families and small groups with the opportunity of enjoying the benefits of trailer camping, without having to purchase or drive up their own outfit.
