Kakadu
Kakadu is an extremely diverse destination with many different aspects, offering the visitor varied experiences. Dramatic landscapes with incredible habitat diversity that are an absolute photographer’s paradise. Aside from the strong pre-history and respective cultural sites displaying thousands of years of lifestyles through the most intricate rock art, waterfalls and wetlands are a big part of the Kakadu landscape. Activities such as swimming and hiking are a strong focus in Kakadu. At 20,000 square kilometres in size, Kakadu is Australia’s largest terrestrial National Park, a globally acclaimed World Heritage site, with 90% of the park awarded Native Title to the local Indigenous Traditional Owners. A visit to Kakadu requires intimate local knowledge of its natural and cultural landscapes, and a long understanding of the area’s history to really gain a full appreciation of the park.
Litchfield
Litchfield National Park measures around 1,300 square Kilometres, and we refer to it as our aquatic playground. Litchfield comprises of great waterfalls and rock pools reached by shorter walks offering a safe, fun swimming environment. There is much more to Litchfield than most day visitors see, and our programs allow us to penetrate the less visited areas of the park.
