As we head directly towards Kakadu this morning, our first experience is our wetlands/crocodile cruise. We board our skippered craft and head out onto the wetlands to photograph and admire the various bird and wildlife species that inhabit our Top End environments. We guarantee you will also spot our iconic saltwater crocodiles while on the cruise.
(We also offer the Kakadu Yellow Water cruise rather than the jumping croc cruise if you prefer)
After our cruise, we continue travelling to Kakadu, stopping for some freshly prepared lunch along the way. Our first stop in Kakadu is the Bowali Center for an introduction to the many and varied aspects of Kakadu National Park.
This afternoon we travel to one of the Kakadu cultural sites, either Ubir or Nourlangie depending on site access. We lead you on an amazing cultural expedition through an ancient occupational shelter, and view rock art that documents an Indigenous culture and lifestyles spanning Millenia. After our cultural journey we climb to a stunning Lookout point to witness a typically inspiring Kakadu panorama showcasing the parks stunning landscapes.
(*Jim Jim & Twin Falls scenic flight can be incorporated into your itinerary at an additional cost).
After an active day, we check into our accommodation for a relaxing night and perhaps a swim in the pool.

Central Kakadu and its diverse habitats and environment
After enjoying your tasty healthy breakfast, we check out of our accomodation and travel further into Kakadu.
Today we delve deeper into the Kakadu cultural as we penetrate the more remote and diverse habitats of the park. Monsoon Forests, Stone Country, Woodlands and Wetlands.
We begin our active day with a hike into the Gubarra Springs or Maguk areas and explore its remote and secluded sandstone environments. This area provides real opportunity for exploration as it is a more remote visitor site. This Kakadu feature in particular really is where our extended guiding and knowledge of Kakadu allows you a very unique and memorable Kakadu experience. As we lead you into and around these stunning Kakadu aquatic features, you are exposed to an incredibly diverse range of habitats and flowing from and continuing through the surrounding stone country. These areas remain well-respected and favored Kakadu sites for long term visitors and Kakadu guides as we are sure you will appreciate.
These areas also provide the avid bird watcher and photographers with endless opportunities!
After absorbing this tropical paradise with some recreation time, we return hike for a picnic lunch and prepare for our journey back to Darwin. As we travel along the Arnhem Highway towards Darwin we take a break at the Corroboree Tavern for a comfort break, then arrive back in Darwin around 5-6pm. We return you to your accommodation with time to reflect on your Charter North Kakadu experience.
